Linked to the Legal Department, the Judicial and Administrative Litigation Department is responsible for examining the legal aspect of the administrative and legal documents involving the Institution. It guarantees the maintenance and renewal of all titles, grants and certificates, especially the Certificate of Beneficent Entity of Social Assistance in Health (CEBAS), in addition to preparing, analyzing, discussing and issuing opinions on the legal instruments in which the Foundation is an interested party. The department is also responsible for:

• Comply with and enforce institutional regulations, standards, guidelines, decisions and strategies
  
• Elaborate tax planning and compliance with all legal obligations in maintaining the FFM's tax immunity, at the municipal, state and federal levels
  
• Represent FFM in the defense of its interests in all demands and administrative and judicial proceedings, in the active and/or passive pole, in all instances
  
• Issue legal opinions on matters of interest to the Foundation
  
• Advise the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees in the area of their competence whenever requested
  
• Perform risk management and report threats, breaches and legal opportunities to Senior Management
  
• Subsidize Senior Leadership with reports, reliable and complete indicators
  
• Receive, analyze and provide for the demands of the control bodies
