The Contracts Department reports to the Legal Department and is responsible for issuing contracts, covenants, agreements and similar instruments. The department examines hiring requests in accordance with current legislation, internal regulations and normative instructions from the Court of Auditors of the State of São Paulo (TCESP). Other duties are:

• Decide on the referral to be given in processes involving the formation or modification of contracts, covenants, agreements and other legal instruments;
  
• Keep up-to-date manuals, operational standards and internal rules applicable to the preparation of contracts;
  
• Formulate and issue acts modifying contracts, including apostilles and terms of amendments;
  
• Terminate contracts and, when applicable, adopt the relevant complementary measures;
  
• Accompany and monitor the execution of contracts, defining processes, strategies and performance metrics;
  
• Control the receipt and fulfillment of requests or recommendations from the control bodies.
