The responsibilities of the Billing Department include:
Performing billing for medical services provided to SUS (Unified Health System) and Supplementary Health patients, as well as managing billing operations, control, and distribution of amounts related to services rendered across various units of the FMUSP-HC System;
Ensuring access to ministerial publications and disseminating changes or updates to interested parties;
Advising and supporting billing teams in various Institutes and Management Centers;
Defining and adhering to schedules and deadlines within the SUS and Supplementary Health frameworks;
Responding to internal and external audits by regulatory bodies, among others;
Conducting Medical Audits to ensure billing compliance with current regulations;
Monitoring and updating parameterizations in the billing and medical fee receipt system;
Developing, updating, and verifying management reports to support decision-making processes.
