The Department of Supplies and Operations is linked to the Administrative Board and is responsible for programming, guiding, coordinating and controlling activities related to the acquisition/contracting of goods, services, leases, insurance, among others, always in line with institutional policies. Other duties are:

• Plan, control and execute purchases and contracts with foreign institutions, as well as coordinate the transport and customs clearance process
  
• Plan, define and standardize purchasing procedures, execution of supply contracts, provision of services and lending, in line with the FFM Purchasing Regulations and current legislation
  
• Coordinate and monitor the procedures related to the acquisition of material or contracting services and works, aiming to meet the needs of the units linked to the FFM • Seek efficiency, speed and economy in meeting the demands of the areas, units and agreements
  
• Ensure impersonality in the selection of the best proposal
  
• Promote publicity and transparency in purchases and hiring
  
• Act ethically and combat risks and fraud in processes
  
• Support departments in demands related to accountability and other requests to supervisory bodies
  
• Coordinate logistical processes, fleet of vehicles and contracts with third parties for this purpose
  
• Responsible for the operational process in general, including cleaning, security, support, maintenance and licenses for the Claudia Building and other properties owned, rented or used by FFM
