Mission

To support the FMUSP-HC Academic Health System in its activities related to Education, Research, Innovation, and comprehensive Healthcare to promote societal well-being.

Vision

To contribute with ever greater effectiveness to maintain the FMUSP-HC Academic Health System as a national and international benchmark of excellence in Healthcare through Assistance, Research, Innovation, and Education.

To fulfill its mission, FFM:

  • Collaborates with people and entities interested in the development of medical sciences, as well as educational institutes, universities and institutions, public and private, in Brazil and abroad;
  • Encourages work in the didactic, care and research areas, through material support and remuneration for researchers, professors and other professionals;
  • Sponsors the development of new products and equipment, systems and processes;
  • Promotes courses, symposiums and studies;
  • Promotes the dissemination of technological knowledge and the publication of technical and scientific publications;
  • Establishes scholarships, internships and assistance to professors, scholars and researchers, whose work can contribute to the achievement of its objectives Preserves the heritage of FMUSP, the HCFMUSP Complex and the Oswaldo Cruz Academic Center;
  • Encourages the production and formation of culture, providing the installation and maintenance of courses, the edition of intellectual works and the stimulation of knowledge of cultural goods and values;
  • Celebrates agreements and contracts with public and private institutions in projects that meet the needs of the FMUSP-HC Academic System;
  • Establishes partnerships aimed at scientific, technological and innovation production;
  • Promotes other activities aimed at achieving its objectives.

In addition to the above, in order to ensure good practices since its foundation, all financial management of resources takes place through the movement of accounts of the “Management Centers”, in accordance with the guidelines approved by the Board of Trustees of the Foundation, by the Deliberative Board of the FMUSP-HC and by the FMUSP Congregation. The Institution has its activities audited by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Foundations, by an independent external audit and by the State Court of Auditors, in addition to rendering accounts of its projects to bodies such as Ministries, State Secretariats and various public and private institutions, national and international. Transparency is also present in the relationship with partners and in the disclosure of the Institution's financial and administrative information, which are available on the Transparency Portal.
