Together with teaching, research and assistance, innovation has become one of the pillars of HCFMUSP's activities. The development of innovative health solutions is of paramount importance for the improvement of patient care and the evolution of medical technology. Since 2018, Hospital das Clínicas has had a center dedicated to technological innovation (NTI-HCFMUSP) and, in 2019, it inaugurated a space to house “startups” and “healthtechs”, the InovaHC District. In addition to encouraging the co-creation and development of solutions with real transforming power in the health area, the space is responsible for validating new technologies, products and services. In agreements signed through the FFM with national and international companies, HCFMUSP carries out projects aimed at innovation in digital health, artificial intelligence, application development, “machine learning” platforms, integrated exam and scheduling systems, process automation, among others.
