The Health Policy projects carried out through agreements between the FFM and public institutions are intended to define processes and technologies that bring improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. The initiatives also contribute to knowledge about areas of public health impact, which are essential for defining policies aimed at preventing illnesses. They range from the influences of air pollution on maternal and child health, to the direct and indirect costs of measles outbreaks in Brazil.
